Bottle Design

As promised, here is a post focused on the design of bottles, something that so many people take for granted in today's fast-paced, hectic society.

St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur has a strikingly beautiful, Art Nouveau inspired bottle— something that got me to purchase the amazing product for the first time!

The next product is the Honey Moon wine. Gorgeous design.

The Lazarus wine bottle is covered in braille, something that is both functional and beautiful to those of us who don't know the language.

The next bottle comes from Sav. A twist on a classic design, employing the use of transparent paper as a wrapping.

Lastly we have an assortment of vodka bottle designs. Vodka companies are proving to be some of the most experimental in bottle design, something caused by the large amount of vodka companies filling the stores these days.

Vintage Motors

There is a popular move in today's world of motorcycles to go back to styles that have proven to last and be reliable. Because of this we are going to dedicate a post to motorcycles of the past.

Lisbeth Salander's bike from the American remake of the Girl With the Dragon Tattoo trilogy:
 Batavus HS50 moped:
 Brough Superior:
 BMW R50/2:
 Moto Guzzi:
 Ron Wood's Norton:
 Suzuki:
 1915/1916 Indian track racing motorcycle:

Cyclical

Bicycle design is something that has evolved over time, but it always seems to return to its roots in the classic frame design. The style has changed with fads or rider preferences and that is what has really pushed the design, and sport, much further.

Printing Press

The printing press is something that has been updated by industrial designers thousands of times over, much like many objects we use in our everyday lives. Just like the redesign of a printing press, Lozenge has been going through a redesign and will soon need the services of a printing press, like so many before us. So the first post on Lozenge Industrial will be dedicated to the intricate set of gears and momentum that work the printing press.

We look forward to sharing more with you as time goes on, such as design that goes into cars, shoes, appliances, and even wine and beer bottles. Expect to see anything under the sun that an industrial designer had their hands on at some point.

Here is a taste of the next post. A little bit of amazing bottle design from St-Germain.
